Deliverable & Project Overview
Led content creation for Reliable Diabetes Care’s Instagram, with the goal of building a supportive space for people living with diabetes. Developed and posted educational, community-driven, and emotionally resonant content to increase awareness of our services—like insulin pumps, CGMs, and patient education—while creating a welcoming presence for both new and existing patients.
CHALLENGE
Reliable Diabetes Care had no dedicated social media voice or visual identity, and patients often felt overwhelmed by medical information or disconnected from their care journey. The challenge was to create an empathetic, trustworthy Instagram presence that combined accessible education with emotional support—building both brand credibility and a sense of community in a space where lived experience matters.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
SOLUTION
Created a variety of Instagram content aimed at growing our presence, engaging followers, building a supportive diabetes community, and promoting our product offerings. Below are examples of the different content types I developed.

Designed posts sharing helpful diabetes management tips, quick facts, and approachable education to empower patients and keep content informative yet digestible.
This week was International Women’s Day and this month is Women’s History Month. We first want to shout out all the incredible women on the Reliable Diabetes Care team and all the great work they do! 💪
We also felt it was important to spotlight gestational diabetes which is a type of diabetes that can develop during pregnancy in women who’ve not been previously diagnosed with diabetes.

DIABETES-FRIENDLY RECIPES INSTAGRAM STORY SERIES
Launched a recurring Instagram Story series featuring recipes tailored to diabetes management. Timed content with events and holidays (e.g., Super Bowl snacks, Valentine’s treats) to help patients feel included and reduce food-related stress during social occasions.

Reflections
Working on this project required me to step into a space I wasn’t personally familiar with—diabetes care. As someone without lived experience, I knew it was essential to approach the work with sensitivity and a genuine willingness to learn. I spent time researching the patient experience, reviewing community conversations, and consulting with internal experts to ensure the content I created felt respectful, accurate, and truly supportive. This experience deepened my ability to communicate complex health topics with empathy, and taught me how to build trust and community through intentional, patient-centered content.
