Project Overview

Created for the course Design is Human, this poster series explored how to communicate dense information in an accessible, visually engaging way. The posters were designed to be displayed across campus and targeted casual viewers in high-traffic areas.

CHALLENGE

Create visually engaging posters that could communicate detailed information to a distracted, fast-moving campus audience—without sacrificing clarity or impact.

Project
Reflections

This project taught me to design for viewers who are often distracted and short on time, making every design choice intentional and purposeful. I focused on clear visual hierarchy—using scale, spacing, typography, and color not just for aesthetics but to guide understanding and improve readability.

Creating two distinct posters highlighted the importance of context: the health poster needed calm simplicity for quick impact, while the course ad poster needed organized dense content to feel approachable. Ultimately, this experience reinforced that effective design is rooted in empathy—anticipating how people engage with information and shaping that experience thoughtfully.
